Training course CPE Points 7
This course runs from 9:00-5:00pm on various dates

Created specifically for internal auditors, this is a foundation course for those who are seeking to understand the fundamental concepts of the new wave of Generative AI.

About this course

Generative AI is reshaping how organisations and professionals work, for better and for potentially worse, and internal audit is no exception. This one-day course provides a practical, accessible introduction to generative AI for internal auditors who want to understand the opportunities, limitations, risks, assurance challenges, and real-world applications of the technology to augment everyday audit tasks.

Delivered by an experienced Chief Audit Executive, former CFO and current CIA tutor, the course is designed specifically for the internal audit profession. It offers a grounded, relevant perspective from someone who understands both the audit environment and the practical realities of using generative AI effectively.

Drawing on two years of hands-on experience with a range of generative AI tools, the tutor has curated the essential knowledge every internal auditor needs at the start of their AI journey. From understanding the limitations of the technology to exploring practical use cases and effective prompting techniques, this course helps participants build a strong foundation in AI literacy.
