This short course introduces the inventory cycle and how inventory moves through an organisation from planning to issue or sale. You will be introduced to the key stages of the cycle, including identifying demand, acquiring and receiving goods, holding and safeguarding inventory, and issuing or selling it.


Course overview

After completing this course you will be able to:

  • Describe the main types of inventory
  • Outline how inventory moves through an organisation

The course comprises one module and two quizzes. After you have completed these three components, you will be able to download your certificate of completion. 

You have 24 weeks to complete the course; however, it shouldn’t take you more than 20 minutes to do so. 

The course is online so you will need access to an internet-enabled device. The material is responsive and will display well on most devices.

The material is primarily text-based and can be accessed using screen readers and other assistive technologies.
