Ann has been working in the internal audit and related professions for over 25 years and became a Head of Internal Audit in a large Building Society in 2009. Since then, she worked in Risk Management and various governance roles, and held multiple appointments as Board, Council and Audit Committee member across a range of sectors and industries.

Ann moved into Higher Education in 2013 with the aim to giving more back to the internal audit profession. She was course leader for the only Internal Audit focused degree in the UK and helped develop both the level 4 and level 7 Apprenticeships with the trailblazer group of employees. She subsequently implemented and delivered the level 7 apprenticeship which she grew over 5 years by 700% with great success. 

Ann has been an active volunteer of the Chartered IIA since 2007 and is now Head of Technical Content and Research. She aims to bring her practical and higher education experiences to drive practical support for the internal audit profession.

Matt is the Area Vice President of Strategic & Emerging Markets at Optro, where he leads go-to-market strategies that help businesses across all sectors maximise the value of their technology investments. With over 15 years of experience in software, technology, and strategic partnerships, Matt has a proven track record of guiding EMEA organisations through complex digital transformations.

Hans-Peter Lerchner has more than 25 years of experience in internal audit and audit management in the public sector and holds certifications (CIA, CRMA, CISA). He leads a working group with participants from Germany and Luxembourg regarding IT Auditing in organizations managing EU funds. He is active volunteer in IIA Austria since 2007 where he is currently serves as Trendscout for the Board of IIA Austria. Since 2013 he also served the profession as volunteer for IIA Global as member of the Professional Issues Committee and Guidance Development Committee. Since 2021 he is member of the International Internal Audit Board (IIASB) and involved the preparation of the new Global Internal Audit Standards.

As part of his volunteer activities, he is Co-Author of several Practice Guides (Internal Audit and Fraud, Assessing the Risk Management Process, Talent Management). He is speaker and trainer at Conferences and Seminars regarding Internal Audit, IT Audits, IPPF, Internal Audit Standards in the Public Sector, Establishment of a new Internal Audit Function, Accreditation under EU requirements, Risk Management, Anti-Fraud-Activities, Information Security Audits, etc.

Next to his professional activities he serves as national expert in EU Twinning Projects in East and South East Europe for Internal Audit, Risk Management, IT Audit, Accreditation under EU rules, Fraud.

Mamun jointed the Chartered IIA in the September 2022 and is currently working as the Senior Research Executive. He has worked on a number of research projects such as Risk in Focus 2024 and 2025, and An Evaluation of the Health of Internal Audit in Local Authorities.

Having previously worked at Habinteg as a Parliamentary and Research officer he authored research forecasting the number of accessible homes being built in England in the next 10 years. This research was influential in lobbying government in mandating accessibility standards in all new homes in England.

Marco Rozenberg is a seasoned executive with extensive expertise in global governance, risk management, internal audit, and IT controls. He currently serves as Senior Vice President & Chief Audit Officer at Booking Holdings (NASDAQ: BKNG), overseeing internal audit operations across the company’s global portfolio of brands, including Booking.com, Priceline, KAYAK, Agoda, Rentalcars.com, and OpenTable.

Prior to Booking Holdings, Marco spent nearly a decade in leadership roles at The HEINEKEN Company. As Director of Global Audit for Europe and IT, he led international teams evaluating key operational, financial, and strategic risks across dozens of global markets. Throughout his career, he has specialized in building high-performing audit functions, establishing robust IT risk management frameworks, and advising executive leadership on governance and compliance.
In addition to his corporate executive roles, Marco actively contributes to academic and professional institutions. He serves on the Advisory Board for Amsterdam Economics and Business and the Programme Board for the Executive Master of Internal Auditing at the University of Amsterdam, and previously served on the Board of Directors for IIA Nederland.
