About this event
The Women in Internal Audit committee are delighted to be joined by three senior leaders – Laura Needham, Francis Hawkes, and Nicole McManus - who will share their experiences, insights, and practical advice on one of the most important skills in Internal Audit — building strong stakeholder relationships while continuing to provide effective challenge and independent assurance.
Stakeholder management sits at the heart of what we do. Technical expertise is essential, but our ability to influence, communicate with impact, navigate difficult conversations, and build credibility is often what determines whether we truly add value as auditors and trusted partners.
The discussion will explore topics including influencing senior stakeholders, managing challenge constructively, balancing collaboration with independence, and building confidence and presence in professional environments. We’ll also hear personal reflections on lessons learned throughout their careers and advice for women developing their own leadership style within Internal Audit.
We hope this will be an open, honest, and engaging conversation, with practical takeaways that everyone can apply in their own roles and career journeys.
