This on-demand course is designed to help you evaluate and communicate the findings of your audit activity.


Domain V of the Global Internal Audit Standards, Performing Internal Audit Services, notes:

“Performing internal audit services requires internal auditors to conduct the engagement work to develop findings and conclusions, collaborate with management to identify recommendations and/or action plans that address the findings, and communicate with management and the employees responsible for the activity under review.”

This course addresses key aspects of the domain and is designed to hone your ability to evaluate, draft and communicate engagement findings.


Course overview

After completing this course, you will be able to:  

  • define engagement findings
  • describe the requirements for evaluating engagement findings
  • discuss how engagement findings are reported.

The course comprises three modules and a quiz. After you have completed these four components, including achieving 80% on the quiz, you will be able to download your certificate of completion. 

You have 24 weeks to complete the course; however, it shouldn’t take you more than one hour to do so. 

The course is online so you will need access to an internet-enabled device. The material is responsive and will display well on most devices. 

Most of the material is written, however, there is audio content and complex graphics. We have provided transcriptions and audio descriptions where they are required.
