This session offers an exciting opportunity to engage with industry experts Sandro Boeri (President of the Chartered IIA) and Gillian Bagwell (Head of Internal Audit, the University of Warwick), as we explore not only the vital role professional courage plays in the internal audit profession, but also the benefits and consequences of its use.
With real-world examples, Sandro and Gillian will share their insights and help us examine what it means for auditors to stay true to their professional principles, remain objective, and voice concerns—even when it’s uncomfortable or unpopular.
Following these real-world examples, there will be an opportunity for all delegates to submit questions to our panelists, to delve into the challenges internal auditors face in maintaining independence and transparency, as well as how professional courage fosters a culture of accountability within organizations.
