This course explores what quality means for internal audit, and how an internal audit function might enhance the quality of engagements.


Enhancing internal audit quality serves two main purposes. First, it means internal audit is delivering a reliable and focused service for the organisation. Second, being regarded as delivering a quality service improves internal audit’s standing in the organisation. 


Course overview

This course would benefit internal audit supervisors and managers who have a responsibility for the maintenance and enhancement of engagement quality.

After completing this course, you will be able to:

§  Identify IIA's Global Internal Audit Standards in respect of quality and enhancing quality.

§  Provide examples of processes and activities for managing and improving engagement quality.

§  Suggest practical methods for establishing internal audit key performance indicators or scorecards.

The course comprises a module, crossword and quiz. After you have completed these components, including achieving 80% on the crossword and quiz respectively, you will be able to download your certificate of completion. 
You have 24 weeks to complete the course; however, it shouldn’t take you more than one hour to do so. 

The course is online so you will need access to an internet-enabled device. The material is responsive and will display well on most devices.  

Most of the material is written, however, there are videos for which closed captions are provided.
