This course is designed to help you gain a better understanding of the new Global Internal Audit Standards.
Course overview
The Global Internal Audit Standards is fundamental to your role as an internal auditor. This course gives you a grounding in The Standards. It sets out to answer two questions: what is the Global Internal Audit Standards, and how can you, as an internal auditor, apply it in your engagements.
After completing this course you will be able to:
- describe the purpose of the Global Internal Audit Standards, and suggest why it’s important as a professional internal auditor
- explain the format of the five domains, 15 principles and 52 standards
- discuss how these elements can be practically applied in internal audit activities.
The course comprises two modules and a quiz. After you have completed these three components, including achieving 80% on the quiz, you will be able to download your certificate of completion.
You have 24 weeks to complete the course; however, it shouldn’t take you more than 90 minutes to do so.
The course is online so you will need access to an internet-enabled device. The material is responsive and will display well on most devices.
Most of the material is written, however, there are also videos for which closed captions are provided.
